Platen Griddle
The platen griddle is a widely used device in the catering industry. The shape of the griddle body is mostly rectangular or square, usually made of high-quality metal materials, such as stainless steel, with good corrosion resistance and sturdiness.
The platen is generally made of heavy metal, such as cast iron or thick steel plate. Its lower surface is flat and smooth, corresponding to the heating surface of the griddle body, and is used to press and cook food.
It is mainly composed of a chassis, a lower pressure plate and an upper pressure plate. The lower pressure plate is fixed on the top of the chassis. The upper and lower pressure plates are usually equipped with heating pipes to provide heat for both sides of the food at the same time to achieve a quick frying effect.
This equipment can be used to fry steaks, pork chops, chicken steaks, pancakes, hamburger patties, sandwiches and other foods.
